I am a US Army veteran who served for three years. During my time in the army I served one tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After leaving the service I studied culinary arts and construction management. However, my career since leaving the Army did not fulfill my desire to continue to serve my country. After thoughtful consideration I have decided to use that sense of service and all of the skills I have acquired and put them towards serving my fellow community of veterans. I know firsthand how broken the system is when it comes to serving veterans. I believe there is more to be done to help my fellow battle buddies. Therefore, I have formed A Helping Hand for Vets as a way to continue to serve veterans and their caregivers in the DC, MD, and VA areas.

Ronald Hefter, Web Site Designer, US Army veteran who served for 15 years. During my time in the Army I served Two tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and two in Afghanistan. I bring over 25 years of Information Security as an Honorary board member.
